Multivariable cause-specific cox regression model for heart failure hospitalization

Association between NTproBNP and heart failure (HF) hospitalization was analyzed using a multivariable cause-specific cox regression model which was adjusted for competing risk of death, transplant, and non-HF hospitalization. HF hospitalizations were analyzed as recurrent events. The multivariable analysis was adjusted for age, gender, diabetes, and ischemic cardiomyopathy as the etiology of heart failure.
